Eligibility
Policy Exemptions
Eligibility
- Must be employed by the government
- Principal members can only be between the ages of 18 and 64 at policy inception
- Children are covered up until the age of 18 or 23 for those in full-time tertiary education
- Maximum age limit for dependants is 75 years at policy inception
Policy Exemptions
This policy does not cover:
Death resulting directly or indirectly occasioned by through or in consequence of:
- Suicide within a period of 2 years after having taken a policy.
- Children that are not added to the policy after a period of six months after birth

Terms & Conditions
- Term to maturity of 20 years
- Cover for the immediate family is immediate once the first deduction has been paid through SSB Stop order but all dependents shall have a waiting period of 3 months
- Accidental death has immediate cover
- 24 months waiting period for suicidal deaths
- Dependants added after policy inception shall pay premiums for the full 20 years
- Each dependent shall pay a dependent's premium as indicated on the enrolment form

You can pay for premiums using our Self Service Portal online.
Dependents can be added when you are creating your policy in our Self Service Portal or under policy management in the Self Service Portal.
Dependents will be any other persons other than the spouse and biological children and will include parents, in-laws, or anyone else appointed by the principal member.
